Tim Phillips founded Phillips' Floors in September 1993 in Indianola, Iowa.
Tim's background in business management combined with his work in a family flooring business
gave him the necessary tools to begin his own venture. Today, Phillip's Floors is the largest
custom hardwood flooring company in Iowa located 10 miles south of Des Moines in Indianola, Iowa.
Phillips' Floors also sells and installs other types of flooring including carpeting and all types of tile products.
In the fall of 2006, Tim began expressing his desire to sell hard-wood
flooring products on a broader scale through a distribution company.
This company was set in motion through the hiring of Tom Sheehy, an
industry veteran with over 20 years of distribution experience. The
strong supplier relationships established by Phillips' Floors over its
14 year existance enable unparrelled service to our customers. This new
entity promises to carry on the Phillips' motto that "We Stand Behind What you Stand On."
Phillips' Direct is a distributor member of the NWFA and regonized as a distributor by WD Flooring, Basic Coatings,
Polo-Plaz, Lagler, Clarke, Chemque, and Virginia Abrasives. The Phillips' Direct customer base includes Central Iowa
contractors and flooring companies throughout the Midwest.
